Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) was established in 1995 through the amalgamation of four Community Health Centres, and has since experienced significant growth in its size, scale and complexity. It is governed by a Board of Management and is a Registered Funded Agency under the Health Services Act 1998.

LCHS is located in the rural region of Gippsland.

A range of community based health and support services are delivered within the City of Latrobe, as well as a group of regional services from outreach locations.

The Service provides:

Community based health and support services within the City of Latrobe;
Sub regional public dental services;
Regional care coordination and brokerage service - Co Care Gippsland;
Regional carer support service - Care Respite Centre (CRC);
Regional Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS);
Regional Veterans Assessment and Coordination Service (VAC);
Regional Victims' Assistance Program (VAP); and
Various sub regional and regional Alcohol and Drug (A & D) Services.
